Education
We partner with local parish schools and area universities, advising on curriculum and how to advance student interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
With industries looking for cleaner solutions that contribute to global net zero ambitions and meet corporate sustainability goals, we bring renewable fuels solutions to market that are deeply carbon negative. Our sustainability goals go beyond zero and the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) we produce will have an ultra carbon negative footprint.
The SAF produced at our Louisiana Green Fuels project will have the lowest carbon footprint of any commercially available renewable fuel anywhere in the world. Our SAF is chemically identical to petroleum-derived jet fuel and, under current federal regulations, can be blended at up to 50% with conventional jet fuel.
Just one gallon of our SAF blended with three gallons of fossil-derived jet fuel will yield a true carbon net zero fuel.
Using waste from managed, sustainable plantation forests as the feedstock, we are converting the wood into carbon monoxide and hydrogen and then re-combining them to produce the hydrocarbon SAF, with carbon dioxide and water as byproducts.
Simply put — we’re taking wood products that no one else uses and turning it into a much-needed fuel source. We consider this a closed loop of carbon usage since an airplane using our SAF is returning CO2 that would have been produced initially by decaying trees in unmanaged forests. This is quite different from fossil fuels, which release carbon initially stored deep in the earth.
For us, the long-term impact our company and projects have on the communities where we operate is a driving force that propels us to keep advancing. Headquartered in a rural area in Northern Louisiana were the median household income falls well below the poverty line, we’re focused on making a significant and sustained impact through job and infrastructure improvement to the region. We believe investing in this community both directly and indirectly can transform the region into a flourishing community.
“When we started this project, we knew we wanted to create lasting positive change by bringing jobs, economic opportunities and recognition to Louisiana — the home of the world’s first carbon negative renewable fuels plant.”
Through The Strategic Biofuels Foundation, we support organizations that are focused on improving educational resources, offering skills and career development training, placing an emphasis on social emotional learning and addressing critical community needs.

Our support for the community runs deep and making a long-lasting impact to improve the quality of life in all facets is a core component of our business. We have supported several partners via sponsorships, scholarships and monetary donations.
We wholeheartedly believe children are our future, and encouraging them to experience team building, camaraderie and fun is why we support extracurricular activities for students across Caldwell Parish.
