Meeting Louisiana’s Growing Demand for Clean Energy

Across the country—and in Louisiana—the industrial demand on utility providers for clean, reliable energy is growing rapidly. Traditional sources like natural gas dominate the grid, but they cannot meet industry’s firm, market-based, long-term decarbonization goals alone. At the same time, wind and solar, which face geographic and land-use limitations, are unable to provide 24/7 power without expensive battery backup.

LGF offers a critical solution: dispatchable (24/7), carbon-negative electricity that strengthens grid reliability while reducing emissions. By integrating renewable biomass with carbon capture and secure storage, LGF helps ensure the grid can meet rising energy needs without compromising sustainability.

Community Impact

For us, the long-term impact our company and projects have on the communities where we operate is a driving force that propels us to keep advancing. Headquartered in a rural area in Northeast Louisiana where over one-quarter of the population lives below the poverty line, we’re focused on making a significant and sustained impact through job and infrastructure improvement to the region. We believe investing in this community both directly and indirectly can transform the region into a flourishing community.

Transforming
Tomorrow,
Today

“When we started this project, we knew we wanted to create lasting positive change by bringing jobs, economic opportunities and recognition to Louisiana —home to one of the world’s first power plants designed to deliver carbon-negative electricity.”
